Stimulating the mind, calming the emotions, controling the body, and focusing attention.

Decreasing physical fitness, rising obesity, and attention deficits among our children are high priority concerns for health advocates, parents and educators. Adding more physical activity to the school day is being encouraged as a strategy to address these concerns.

Classroom Chi-Time Exercise Breaks are an innovative way to integrate physical activity and classroom learning.

Chi-Time @ School is a series of mind/body exercise routines and instructional resources. Its purpose is to bring physical activity, mental focus training, and health promotion to the classroom using movement training adapted from taiji/qigong.

Regular practice of taiji/qigong is known to increase circulation and oxygen to the brain and extremities, mental concentration, body awareness, balance, strength, and improved postural, coordination and immune response.
