As is our custom, this spast Friday, Oct 26th, 2007, we were out at the final Passport to Wellness Walk sponsored by the Wellness Institute of Buffalo and WNY. The walk was held at the Delaware Park Rose Garden. We led the warm-up exercise by introducing the group to some basic taiji/qigong exercise. The day was beautiful, partially cloudy the very white clouds free form ona background of blue sky. The fall colors were at their and the yellows, reds, oranges, and green of the trees were reflected in Hoyt Lake as we walk around its perimeter. We met a lot of nice people and renewed a few old friendships. In addition to introducing taiji/qigong to the walkers, we teamed up with D’Youville College Physical Therapy Department and the Western NY District of the American Physical Therapy Association to help celebrate October as PT Month by doing balance screening and offered advice on falls prevention. All in all, a great time.

Sept 28-29, 2007 - Bill Klein and I recently spent a wonderful 2 days with the OT’s of Western NY. It was a debut for our latest product: Chi Time @ School. The OT’s had lots of suggestions re: possible applications. Following the conference, we were invited to conduct a Chi Time @ School seminar for 100 school-based OT’s.The seminar is scheduled for Nov 12th with Learning Partners [ww.learningpartners2.com]. We are looking forward to getting this product out to teachers and school-based rehabilitation specialists. We are especially interested in hearing about practical experiences and invite postings as ‘comments’ re: Chi Time @ School.
